Volunteering is for the dogs!

Since 2013, I have volunteered for 501(c)(3) non-profit Labrador Retriever rescues, contributing my marketing, photography, and graphic design skills to assist with fundraising and promotion of adoptable dogs.

While volunteering with Labrador Rescue of the LRCP, I was an adoption event photographer and posted to social media while on site. I also conducted after adoption house checks, solicited for fundraiser donations, and assisted with the online auction.

We fostered once for 10 days before admitting our “foster fail” with 6-month-old bonded brothers, Bruizer and Snickers. Renamed Liberty and Justice, our boys turned 8-years old in December 2020.

Through October 2019, I volunteered for House of Hope Animal Rescue, Inc., helping with fundraising, marketing, social media, graphic design, and websites.

2017 and 2018 Paws in the Park Fundraisers: I designed the logo, custom graphics, T-shirt, poster, sponsor thank you banner, digital billboard, vendor map/program, and sponsor/vendor packages.

I redesigned the event website using dojiggy and served as the sole administrator. I updated pages, added sponsor logos, entered funds received and was the liaison with participants and sponsors.

2019 Paws in the Park Fundraiser: I creating custom graphics for the T-shirt, poster, sponsor thank you banner, Facebook, and Instagram.
I learned Salsa Labs and assisted with the fundraiser website and email newsletters.

As an administrator of the rescue's Facebook page and groups, I created graphics, color corrected/cropped photos, and promoted Giving Tuesday and other fundraisers. I created and posted “Gotcha Day” photos from October 2017 through October 2019. I helped as needed with "Good Morning" and "Good Night" posts and maintained adoptable dog albums.

I’ve updated and created new forms with JotForm, written and distributed more than 20 email campaigns (MailChimp), and added dogs to PetFinder.

A new website launched in 2019. I learned WordPress and assisted with updates including the addition of adoptable dogs and Gotcha Day pictures.

I worked with the Board of Directors on new guidelines and procedures to improve the online presence and create brand consistency.

With a passion for animal rescue, I would enjoy the opportunity to be involved in the marketing of 501(c)(3) organizations.
